Our Process
At Cascadia Doodles, we believe that a puppy’s first experiences shape their entire future. Our process is built around care, cleanliness, connection, and thoughtful preparation—for both our dogs and the families who welcome them home.
1. Thoughtful Parent Selection
It all starts with choosing the right moms and dads. We work with trusted breeders who care deeply about the wellbeing of their dogs. Each parent is fully genetically tested to ensure they’re not only a healthy match but also a good temperament fit. Our dogs live with us in the home as beloved family members, and we believe that dogs raised with love, structure, and enrichment produce the very best puppies.
2. Clean, Safe, and Enriched Living Environment
We’ve created a clean, low-stress environment for our dogs and puppies to thrive in. Our 2,000 square feet of high-quality artificial turf installed ontop of 2 inches of drainage gravel, allowing excellent drainage. To sanitize the play areas, we use Wysiwash, a professional-grade, veterinarian-trusted cleaning system known for its superior sanitizing ability.
Nursery care
Our puppy nurseries are right in our home—just across the hall from our bedrooms. The mothers and babies stay in cozy nursery rooms with direct access to outdoor nursery yards through small doggy doors. These nursery yards are attached to the larger play yard, which allows for gentle, age-appropriate socialization as the puppies grow.
We clean the nurseries multiple times each day using gentle, dog-safe cleaning products and replace bedding regularly. These moments are also times for us to interact with the puppies—offering gentle touches, encouraging responses, and giving them the consistency and routine they thrive on.
